Flash Translator helps users translate typed, spoken, scanned, or pasted text. This policy explains what data is processed when the app is used.
The app may process text entered by the user, speech converted to text, and text detected from images or the camera when OCR features are used. This content is used to provide translation and related app features.
Camera access is used only for text recognition and translation features selected by the user. Microphone access is used only for voice input and dictation features selected by the user.
Translation requests are sent to the Flash Translator backend and then to translation model providers so the requested translation can be generated. Do not enter passwords, payment data, private keys, or other highly sensitive information for translation.
When you select a document, the app makes a private working copy on your phone. Text from TXT and DOCX files is sent for translation; DOCX images and other file contents stay on your phone. PDF files are sent to the backend to read the text and create the translated layout. When a PDF contains scans or text in graphics, images of those areas are sent to the translation provider for recognition and translation. PDF uploads are processed temporarily; original files are not retained on the server after the request.
The backend temporarily stores completed translated parts with an account-linked payment receipt so an interrupted request can be resumed without charging twice. Recovery is available for seven days from the request. These temporary records have an automatic expiration policy; physical deletion may take additional time. The working copy and translations on your phone remain until you remove the document or the app data. Files that you save or share are controlled by the destination you choose.
The app uses Google Play Billing for subscriptions and in-app purchases. Payment details are handled by Google Play, not by Flash Translator. Google AdMob provides optional rewarded ads for translation credits, banners below learning and document actions, and interstitial ads between completed learning tasks in the free plan. AdMob and Google Play may process device, purchase, and advertising data according to their own policies.
Where required, a consent form lets you accept, decline, or manage advertising preferences before ads are requested. You can reopen the advertising privacy options from the app settings when this option applies to your region. Active Standard subscriptions remove learning banners and interstitial ads.
The backend may store entitlement, quota, rewarded-ad, and purchase-verification records needed to provide paid features, prevent duplicate rewards, and keep the service reliable.
Service records are kept only as long as needed to operate subscriptions, credits, rewards, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and legal or platform compliance.
Flash Translator may use Google Play, Google AdMob, Google Cloud, and translation model providers to deliver app functionality.
